We made it out to Grandma Adams's today. Grandma is doing well, although getting confused by her new stove. Hung out with Kristy, and Ryan as we waited for Aunt Patty to arrive as well as eating a lot of food. ^_^ Grandma made a new afghan for me I love it. Not much to talk about, just wish I had my own laptop so I could get on aim and chat with people.

So I made up to Ohio with minimun incidents. Minor snafu at the airport due to mechanical issues with the plane(check engine light wasn't working so we were 40 minutes late taking off) And the entire time in the terminal we were treated to a kid screaming "NO MORE AIRPLANE!!!!! NO MORE AIRPLANE!!!!" Fortunately exhaustion knocked me out shortly after the plane took off. Landed, got luggage, Uncle Jim and I hit a mcdonald's for my first meal of the day and I then crashed for a good 12 hour sleep.

Christmas day was it's typical chaotis insanity of the Connell clan. I was and will for years be teased mercilessly over a comment I made about a shirt I recieved. Let me see if I can describe it adequetly for you. It's blue, sheer, crinkled polyester, button down with ruffles. At the waist there's a strip of lace and then a smooth peice of fabric. It made not be the most hidious piece of clothing I've ever seen, but it's still quite frightening. When asked if I liked it, in an effort to be polite, I said "it's interesting' Which of course my aunts and mother immediately picked up on as "I hate it" and started teasing me about the shirt, how they thought it was great and "so you" and on and on and on. Then, they made me try the damn thing on thinking I'ld like it once I saw it on. It did not help their case, especially when my Uncle Burt saw it and immediately referenced the 'puffy shirt' of Sinfeld fame and that all I needed was an eypatch to complete the pirate look. Fortunately I have the gift reciept and the tags are still on so it is getting exchanged first chance I get.

In good news I got Final Fantasy 3 for my nintendo DS. It's quite shiny and a lovely old-school rpg game for when you want a break for the current style games. So at least I'll be entertained for the rest of the trip.

Later today we're going up to see Grandma Adams, think i'm gonna leave the techno toys and the car and work on my cross-stitch there.

Well I'm all packed and ready to head off to Ohio for Christma, tired as hell as I ended up staying up all night packing and cleaning and am now suffering a major allergy attack(yeah the seatmates on the plane are gonna love me) Chester keeps trying to climb into my suitcase and I had to chase Teddy out of it earlier(but got some cute pictures of him first) I have about another 2 hours before I need to actually head out the door. Wish I could trust myself to a nap, but don't dare for fear of oversleeping. Hopefully I'll be able to nap on the plane. Hope all of you have a Merry and safe Christmas.

So I've started working on my christmas shopping an am pretty much tearing through the list(probably because of the rule I made that before I can buy anything fun for myself I have to cross at least one person off the list) Today I picked up a lovely cross-stitch kit for my grandmother, and come friday I can get the gifts for my grandpa and Uncle Jim. Just a few more people to figure out(and if I don't get some better ideas for my dad he's getting a stocking full of necco wafers)

Well I got to go and see my brother today. He's looking and feeling a lot better. We talked geeky things, I got to check out his new PSP. Ooooh pretty graphics. Also got to hear how the nurse mistook our mother as his wife. I nearly fell out of the chair laughing. And found out that his surgeon(while one of the best) really needs to work on his tact. Apparently he came out of the operating room once my brother was stable, went to my parents and said "Well he's young and he's strong" o_O Not the most comforting thing he could have said.

Some other good news is that I am ahead the game for Christmas shopping. So far I have my mom, aunts, neices and one cousin shopped for, and pretty mcuh everyone else figured out.
