Just a general update
Aug. 19th, 2005 07:39 pmWork is slowly getting better, it's still hell, but better then it was that first week on the floor. Also I'm getting a 5% increase because of the move to online banking. They have said we need to show proficiency before we will get it, but that when we do it will be apply retroactively to when we left class(long story short, normally this move would only be a 3% increase, but because of a management mistake we're getting 5%) Woot!
Had more dental work today. And I kinda want to know what was going through my dentist's head for this. Because she only did weak shot of the local anathestic and it kept wearing off, meaning more shots. Please for the love of God just numb me up, I would much prefer the "can't feel half of my face" to feeling little stabs in my gumline. *downs pain meds*

Aug. 12th, 2005 08:07 pm*whimpers* So I went and had a root canal today. Wasn't too bad while it was happening (all hail local anathesetics) The worse part was the bit holding my mouth open way to wide for comfort. I still can't open my mouth comfortably. Let alone think about eating anything hard. And there was a cute guy in the elevator as I was leaving. It's really hard to flirt when you can't feel half of your face(although at least then I could smile without pain) Now I'm trying to figure out dinner be the ibruprophen the dentist told me to take isn't doing shit
Random stuff and general update
Jul. 28th, 2005 11:47 pmWell I am finally moving over to online banking(one step closer to being an email banker) and am supposed to start taking calls tomorrow. Kinda nervous because the course was condensed and due to probably with the bank's website they didn't let us sit with people and observe, and a lot of this stuff we need to see in action to really get. At least I'm getting a 900$ raise from my normal performace review(and may also get another 5% increase for the move to online banking)
Finally got a refferal for my root canal, but now I'm stuck in training mon-fri for another week, so unless the guy has saturday hrs I won't be able to get in until the 12th(don't want to use any more of my sick time, I might need that for oral surgery to remove my wisdom teeth) And the temp filling in the bad tooth is starting to wear away, hoping it won't completely gone and exposing the nerve before I get to go in.
lj time is running, thankfully get paid on friday.
Finally got a refferal for my root canal, but now I'm stuck in training mon-fri for another week, so unless the guy has saturday hrs I won't be able to get in until the 12th(don't want to use any more of my sick time, I might need that for oral surgery to remove my wisdom teeth) And the temp filling in the bad tooth is starting to wear away, hoping it won't completely gone and exposing the nerve before I get to go in.

So last week I finally got to see a dentist after months of trying to find one that didn't give me a hard time about my insurance. I got a deep cleaning, and an appointment for today to deal with one really bad cavity.
So today I got up, used a can of fix-a-flat on one of my tires which had gotten a nail in it something in the past couple days intending to hit discount tire co after my appointment, fortunately there was one in walking distance of the dentist office. Ended having to get the tire replaced, but better then having a blowout.
Well it was time for my appointment, the dentist shot me full of novacaine, and then diappeared while I sat and watched The Wedding Planner shudder She finally came back when feeling was returning to my mouth. Fortunately she numbed me up again before drilling, and got to work(finally) and then came the dreaded words "you need a root canal" Which she has to refer me to another dentist to do before they can do the crown. So now I have a temp filling, and two prescrptions for antibiotics and pain killers.
