Ok, so there was a pretty yukata set on ebay, yukata, obi, geta and fan. I've been eying it for a while, cause it may be fun to wear at cons and at Renfest, but resisted because of upcoming Christmas shopping, and car insurance payment. But then I saw my paycheck with 27 hrs of overtime on it. So I bid and won and got the entire set for less then 50$ including shipping. SCORE! ^_^

ETA: Boo, I went to select an icon for this post and find that my lj time has run out, even though it's not supposed to do that until tomorrow, aka payday.

Recently I've been getting an itch to sew and make costumes. Only hitch is I don't have a sewing machine, so today I met up with my mom(home ec teacher) and went shopping for a basic machine. First place we went to had some nice but expensive ones(cheapest was 300$ used) so we off to the second shop my mom knew off. ANd there they had a nice, basic used machine for 129$. With a case and some accessories(bobbins, needles and blindstich foot) it still only came to 159$

So the mission for today accomplish we ended up back at her house and went swimming(me in the ultra girly girly swimsuit she had gotten for me) which lasted until mom and dad realized that their two little dogs had escaped and were missing. Not fot long fortunately, no sooner had I changed and walked out the door to go looking when a SUV pulled up, a women hopped out and said "Is this XXX Chamberlain cove? I have two small white dogs" So the two runaways were back safe and sound, and we headed out for dinner and margaritas at a local mexican place. We talked a bit about various vacations, like the time my parents pulled me and my brother out of the first week of school to go to Florida(and this is why I'm a spoiled brat)

Work has finally sorted everything out in regards to my pacheck. In since I actually come out ahead when all was said and done, I went shopping today. First was off to texas art supply to get a graphing table/chair/lamp combo I've been eyeing. ANd of course picked up other various art supplies. It took awhile to get the whole thing together, but now I have a pretty nice workspace(which means I should spend more time doing that and less on the computer)

ALso ordered some pretty kimonos It's going to take a while to get here, and the shipping was more than the kimonos, but so worth it.

Also got new glasses today. *blinks* Holy fuck I can SEE!!! I didn't realize how bad my eyes were getting.

My new mattess is here. My new mattress is here!! *bounces on it* Ahhh soooo comfy. Now to make my bed and get some sleep.

E.T.A: My poor cats gave the delivery men a surprised. You see they had hidden themselves under the bed as they normall do when strangers come in. Worked ok until they lifted up the box spring taking away the hiding spot. Teddy and Chester freaked and went running off, while Carrie positioned herself in the box spring itself(god getting her out was a pain)

Still tired cause the bright sunlight streaming into my apartment and the screaming kids outside made it hard to sleep. Bed is beyond comfy at least.
