Happy Belated Thanksgiving everyone. Mine was good and drama-free. I went out to my parents and hung out. Worked on the cross-stitch peice for my grandmother and looked through the ads for black friday. I saw one thing I would have liked getting, and was told not to buy it. Larry and Debbie came over with their girls and I got to give them their birthday presents. You know this is the second year I've missed their birthday party by going to Renfest instead. Oh well they girls(well Carolyn at least, Elizabeth is only one) loved their little stuffed dogs in pink sweaters. Then we ate our fill of turkey and stuffing and other goodies. I'm surprised I didn't make myself sick on deviled eggs. Dad joked about me getting up and joining Mom on the Black Friday sales because of "tradition" Mom and I just laughed at him, didn't turn out to be so funny later.

Black Friday, for some reason I woke up at the ungodly hour of 7:30am, after I had gone to bed at around 3:30am. I tried to go back to sleep but couldn't, so I dragged myself out of bed and got ready for my two missions of the day. They were pretty simple I thought. One, get a tree, two donate blood. The tree was obtained at hobby lobby and is a nice, little 4.5 foot tree that fits nicely in my little apartment. Only problem was when I got ready to decorate said three I couldn't find any of my decorations. None of my lights, or the ornaments I had gotten years ago. I think they accidently went to my brother when I gave him my old tree which was too big. Isn't that just great. Then I was off to the blood center. It went well, none of the wooziness or light-headedness I sometimes get when donating, probably because this time I actually planned on it and ate before hand. Instead of seeing the blood mobile and going "Oh yeah I should donate" like I normally do. Next donation will be around January 20th when I'm eligible again. And I got a little surprise as I was walking out, one of the techs told me not to forget my t-shirt. Apparently as part of a blood drive thing, anyone who donated got a t-shirt. And it is a nice t-shirt, good heavy cotton and long sleeves.

Saturday: I met up with Blue for Harry Potter, dinner and gift exchange. Harry Potter was visually spectacular(any surprise there) Although for some reason I kept thinking Frodo! at certain shots of Harry and that some-one was going to hand him a ring to destroy the Dark Lord. Man would that ever be one bad fanfic. And Draco looked really really good in the World Cup scenes. If there's ever a live action FF& movie I'ld like to nominate Tom Felding to play Rufas based on that scene.

After the movie we hit a littler mediterrean place we stumbled on for dinner. God I love the food there, always sooooo good. I gave Blue the little d20 necklace I got for her. And I adore the little red glass lamp she found for me. ^_^ Gives a pretty nifty glow when things are dark. After didnner we looked around Tuesday Morning cause I need ornaments for my tree, found a few and I'll probably hit Hobby Lobby up for more(and lights) All and all it was a pretty good weekend.
