Day in Ohio

Ok unlike previous years they have a car here that I can drive so I can go visit people without being dependent on a ride from some-one. So today I drove up to see my Grandma(and it's a good thing I picked today as there's a winter storm warning for tomorrow and thursday and I haven't dealt with snow and ice in 7 years)

The drive up was ok except for one thing. I've never learned the street names I take on the way to Grandma's I just go by landmarks. Aaaannnd there was a detour due to roadwork. The detour made me miss my landmarks and got me all turned around. But it made a normal 60 minute drive to over 2 hours. Uggh

My Grandma is doing well, and she showed me how to crochet YAY! New hobby to keep me busy. She enjoyed the burt's bee hand lotions I gave her.

And although it's been like this for several years it's always a shock to see that I'm taller than her and I can't remember when it happened. I all I know is now I have to lean down a little to give her a hug.

Maybe its just the effects of wanting to be a good host, but it seems like everyone wants to feed me up here. I'm constantly being asked if I'm hungry or want something to eat. Have gotten some nice treats from this(mmmmm grandma sugar cookies) but geez if I'm hungry I'll eat.

Sorry but the ones she gave me aren't going to last through tomorrow and I doubt I'll be able to go back up. I'll see about stealing the recipie from my mom, or from Debbie(why does every woman in the family have the recipie except me?)
