Oni-con: My report

ladydoujiI'm pretty tired and suffering from sleep deprivation right now so I'm not sure out coherent I'll be.
I headed to Oni-con after I got off of work yesterday. Registration was closed but they weren't requiring a badge to go into the video rooms. So I spent many hours wondering in video rooms talking to random people and watching various stuff. Met up with a kid who's the son of a some-one who works with my mom. She called earlier wondering if I would see him at the con. The Yaoi-fest was canceled because they weren't able to get licenses and so they showed Fruits Baskets instead. I actually ended up leaving early because the sheer amount of Tohru hate in the room started to get to me(and the person next to me was one of the loudest people in the room) Switched over to Yu Yu Hakusho. Damn I do not need to get back into that anime now, but the story arc they showed looked so good. Then they put on something called KiddyGrade. Bizarre show about two girls, one looks 10 and can connect to any computer and control it, the other can turn her lipstick into a ribbon whip. There was gratuitious violence and panty shots in the first 3 minutes is all I have to say.
Wandered some more and ended up on a couch on the second floor talking/listening to some other people. At some point fell asleep for a brief(maybe 45 minute nap) and was awoken when a security dude covered me with his extra shirt because I looked cold(I was fucking freezing) Nice dude though. Then went and stood in line to be registered. Got my badge and then went to wait some more for the dealers room to open up.
While waiting drooled over a costume one of the artist alley people had done Her stuff id here She also made wire and beaded jewelry. had some pretty bracelets with bells on them in red and green. I mentioned that they would be great with my belly dance costume except for the color(as my costume is blue and purple) She advised me to come back later and she'll see what she could do. Dealers room opened and the spending began. Got some gouga sequence set of Goku and Hakkai, a kenshi plushie. a Cloud pin, Kyo pin, mini Goku pencil board. Went back to Rowan's originals and she had made a blue and purple bracelet for me(which I got) as well as a black leather pouch and amythest and quartz bead bracelet.
Wandered a bit more people compliment and played with my hair. Dressed in my Kenshin outfit for a while and was Bizarro Psycho Kenshin for a while. Was glomped and I glomped others until the sleep dep really started kicking in and I realized I hadn't eaten in 9 hrs(and even what I had eaten was an overly processed preservetive laden muffin that didn't sit well with me) So I finally left for hom getting a smoothie for lunch and now I'm gonna take a nap
