Ok I got off work early today and figured I would clean so that tomorrow(my day off i can lounge all day. Well I hauled out my vacuum and noticed it wasn't picking anything up on the carpet(worked fine on the linoleum) So I start looking at it figuring it needed some thread or whatever pulled out so the beater bar could spin. I pull out a disgusting about of hair(I shed ok, I can't help it) So i unplug it, unscrew the bottom and find that the beater bar belt is broken. SO tomorrow i'm off to find a sear service center to find out how much it's gonna cost to fix.

You should be able to fix that yourself. They sell the belts at Target, ACE hardware etc. (if it's just a broken belt. ~_^) You should be able to pull the beater brush out and loop the belt over it, put the bar back in and stretch the belt over the bar that sticks out of the motor... at least that's how mine works. ^_^;
