trip back in time

ladydoujiYesterday Blue and I went to the Texas Rennaisance Festival. And for once one of our plans went off without a hitch.
We managed to get up at our planned time despite staying up extreemly late to do henna. Got dressed in out costumes. Grabbed some beignets for breakfast. Raspberry and Caramel mmm yuuuummmmmmm.
Got to the festical early to get good parking and cheap tickets from a guy who had too many.
First stop for me was to get my hair braided up into a crown braid to show off my henna tattoo on my back. Blue went off for her palm reading which kept getting push back to a later time. Then went to a shop to see about getting help with blue bodice because sadly my lacing job sucked. And she ended up getting another bodice. Caught the parade and some guy gave me a little peice of fur that i'm trying to figure out what to do with. I then decided to lose one of the scarves I was wearing because it was too hot and that i needed a parasol to keep from getting sunburned.
Blue and I then decided to see about getting some food before trying to find her co-worker. Too bad we couldn't decide on what restaurant we needed. Ended up gtabbing something from a vender and saw some bagpipers and celtic dancers before the maypole dance started.
Then got my yearly necklace from crystal mountain and we got massage. Ahh that was the best money I ever spent my feet are still thanking me for it. tried some mead which was very sweet and yummy. We got soaked while at a raffle for dragon puppets, and stopped for warm drinks and treats before leaving.
By this point I was tired and slightly babbling so we stopped at Ihop for some real food and lots of coffee.
