there's something wrong at work but no-one is telling you anything. Things are busier than they have any right to be and you're going insane trying to keep up with it all. That's how things are today at the Contact center. There were over 150 calls waiting to be answered when I came in, and the queue stayed over 100 for at least 3 hrs. When I went to lunch it had gotten down to 70, but that's still way higher than it should be. Gennerally things are only like this when there's an emergency at one of the two contact centers we have but no-one is telling us anything. >_< They're also being a bit overly nice to us and giving us snacks(yes this is very very odd, nice but odd) which just re-enforces the suspician that something is wrong. And they're offering overtime all this week. Hopefully we'll find something out before the day ends, I like to know what I'm stuck dealing with this week

We're understaffed, as simple as that. Today we needed an additional 50-70 people taking calls and we don't have them. Right now my employer is a little too quick to fire or drive people away but not quite quick enough to get new people on the phones and so we're dying out there. What sucks is they've been taking away some of the pay deferentials and slowly forcing people to do more and more work, as well as making that work more difficult with annoying bothersome procedures that only annoy the customers.
