And now a long rambling post because I should have been posting more.
Turning in my first project went well except for the nightmare I had the night before. I dreamed that some-how my sketches were taken as my final project and I have missed the critique and it was horrible. Not having as much luck with the current project. It's another experiment in mark-marking and design as a process. It's to teach us about texture. So we were assign either Rock or Tree and we need to make 4 tiles in an expanding view. Extreme close-up to extreme long/pan shot. We ca in color which in some ways makes it more difficult and one of the tiles has to be 3-d. Thinking about getting away from the obvious color palette of greens/browns and reds/orange/yellows. Found some absolute gorgeous shots of trees in winter with greys, blues and whites. But I was bad and played hooky today because I felt sick(not very sick, just a cold so can't justify doing this again)
Work is busy, and I'm starting to get really pissed off at the business credit service because they keep blind transferring customers I can't help to me. One is business card customers wanting year end summary statements. Problem is, business cards are not eligible to GET these YES statements. But do credit card rep tell them that? Noooooooooo they just say "Oh you can get that online, let me transfer you to an online rep" I get them, see they're not eligible apologize and tell them, they get pissed and start yelling at ME. And they keep transferring proxies to me. We cannot assist proxies in online because we don't have access to see them(meaning we can't see their name or verify they're authorized on the card, so risk came down and said can't help them period) In Online we are REQUIRED to speak with and verify the primary signer on a business card and then with their VERBAL permission or request then speak with a proxy. My manager has told me to track the calls I get like this so she and her boss can go over to credit cards and say "Look these people were transfered to us and we can't service them, tell your people not to transfer in these situations"
And did something a little immature and crazy. Not sure how many on my flist follows but there are these incredibly beautiful dolls called dollfies or ball-jointed-dolls that are extremely expensive. I've been lusting after this one for years. Well Dream of Doll is having a special event where you can get a girl and a boy doll for a special price. Still expensive but cheaper then buying each doll individually. So I caved, cashed in some of my stock with chase and ordered a set. I'll probably sell or trade the girl doll and I have no clothes for my boy(guess I better start sewing more, as clothes for these dolls can be just as expensive as clothes for people)
