Monday: was nothing but work, with please from management for OT from us. Very very busy due to the ice storm hitting Springfield where one of our other call centers is. And many nasty rude callers. just AARRGH!

Tuesday: First day of the spring semester and it's COLD!!! Got into the classes I wanted and the teacher for my Drawing for Graphics class some words that make my heart sing. In class work and short critiques. ^__^ My god the 3 hour crits I've been through for some of the other classes always made my brain bleed out of my ears. The art history class "Greek and Roman Art" isn't quite as interesting as the last one I wanted to take, but it'll do. After getting registered I went off to buy my books. Spent 100$ for 2 books and felt sorry for the girl in front of me who had to spend over 500$. Eek! The hit the poster sale going on outside to get a birthday gift for my brother. Got a Star Wars poster and headed towards home, with a brief detour to Hobby Lobby for new art supplies. And found that some-where between the poster sale and my car I had managed to lose my little red coach bag with my wallet inside. How and when I don't know. I was sure I had it on my wrist when I left the poster sale. I did stop once to get out my gloves and call Mom, but don't remember taking the wristlet bag off, or putting it down. There was no activity on the cards, so I waited until morning to contact the poster sale runners to see if they had it. No such luck and so the cards have been canceled and I'm driving illegally until I can get my ass into the DMV for yet ANOTHER new license. I think I need to get one of those wallets I can just chain to my pants or something.

Wensday: Work, still busy and yet strangely I felt calm and rather stress free. Not sure why as there were a few idiots, like the man who wanted an activation code(fancy word for temp password) without verifying all the info I needed, and then thought that threatening to close his account would make me forget and bypass our security procedures. Uhm howabout NO! Then transfered him over to credit cards who'll ask him many other security questions before they'll close his account.

Today: Second day of classes. I like this teacher sooo much more then some of my other graphics teachers. She explains what the project is supposed to be teaching us, as well as taking time in class to work and comment. Also liked the method she used for the mini-crit we had for our warm-sketches. We put up the sketch we thought was most interesting of the ones we did, and were given 3 little stickies and were to go up and put them on the work we though thought was interesting. Then she called on us to comment on the ones we selected. I was very happy when I got 4 stickies(and not one of them from me) there were a few sketches which didn't get any stickies. But still a lot less pressure then other crits where you're struggling to think of something for a piece you don't like, or don't find interesting. Next class we're be broken into groups with one working while the other does crit.

The off to Greek and Roman Art. The teacher seems nice if kinda spacey at times and very proud of her "experimental essay" idea. Which basically boils down to research and write a piece of historical fiction from a first person perspective. She has a list of topics or we can make up our own. Pretty interesting. One flaw however is that the dues dates vary depending on the topic you select(as we have to then read our essay to the class) There were a few topics that is anyone selected them would be due next Tuesday. Giving them 4 days to research and write their essay. I'll be very surprised if anyone picks that one.

After class I hit a chase branch seeing if I could get a temp ATM card as I had a total of 20$ on me thanks to coinstar. I was successful but only because I'm an employee of the bank and could verify my employee id and other info. So I now have access to my cash and was able to buy the supplies I needed for school.

Watching Ran, which is a retelling of King Lear set in Japan, by Akira Kurosawa. Very good and beautiful movie, but it's a Japanese telling of a Shakespeare tragedy, so my god is it ever depressing.
