HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dec. 31st, 2006 10:26 pmFinally finally home. *wallows in home comforts* Some final things from Ohio
Friday: My Uncle Jim took me out for mexican food and see Casino Royale. The mexican food was decent overall, but sucks in comparision to what we have down here. Worst of all the bastards gave me a virgin Margarita. *cue attack* Not happy.
Casino Royal was good, different from previous 007 movies I've seen, but more true to the book. But it was quite beautiful and fun.
Saturday: Not much, slept late(well normal time for me, everyone else found it late) Then Jim and I went out again, this time we hit Max and Ernie's. I had the Laredo steak, nice, rare and bloody. It was almost like beef shashimi from benihana's. A most satisfactory subsitute. And a wonderful Pina Colada(fortunately not a virgin one)
This time we saw A Night at the Musuem: Very Cute, though it was fun having Owen Wilson as a cowboy shouting "I'm not gonna quit you" If you want context you need to see the movie. Then we went to play video games at Gameworks(like Jillian's in Houston) because it was late they were checking ids at the door. Uncle Jim's got a double take as he's in his early 40's but looks like he's in his 20's. We finally headed back to the house and I ended up spending the night on oneof the lounger chairs as I couldn't stand the thought of another night on that bed.
Sunday morning. Grandpa got me up and out to the airport. No screaming children this time(thank god) It was a pretty uneventful flight(YAY!) Got home and after a few phone calls went to my parents for the Texas Christmas exchange. ANd showed Debbie the horrendeous shirt I got from my aunts. I wish I could have gotten a picture of her face when she saw it
I think we all got totally spoiled. I am now the happy owner on a green ipod nano, plus the beautiful Halloween fair cross-stitch kit I wanted. And many other goodies. The girls loved their teddy bears, dad loved his neccos, Debbie loved her fairy, Mom loved her Santa, and so everything was good.
Right now I'm finally home and get to spend the night in my own comfy bed. Took longer writing this than expected so wishing everyone a Happy New Year's.
