*grumbles* If I ever managed to buy a place I am going to rip up any carpeting and replace it with either hard wood or tile flooring, simply so I'll never have to deal with the damn beater bar belt in my vacuum breaking while i'm in the middle of cleaning.

That and I'm thinking hardwood would be easier to clean up then carpet(especially when dealing with cat puke) And when you consider 3 cats plus long hair equals constantly dying vacuums hard wood and tile would be sooo much better then carpet.
