Ugh I think I should have stayed in bed.

Slept through all three of my alarm clocks this morning(still not sure how I managed that) and was an hour late to work. SHortly after I got there I was wishing I had just called off completely. This one lady had gotten charged 90$ insufficient funds for three checks that came in and were bounced, when the balance in her account was ZERO!! and she had twelve dollars in her overdraft. No matter how many times I explained that her balace at the time was ZERO she kept insisting that the three checks should have been paid because the 90$ was enough to cover them. Apparently she thought the bank could only charge her fees if she had the money in the account to cover the fees and refused to listen to anything I said when I tried to explain the reality of the banking world, that if you don't have the money then your checks don't get paid and you get charged a fee and she just wasn't getting it. While also going on about how upset she was because no-one was dealing with her straight. *headdesk and repeat* Finally managed to pass her off to a supervisor simply because I was sick of dealing with the woman's idiocy having being stuck on the phone for forty-five minutes. *fumes* And even worse I later went back and looked at the account and the supervisor had refunded the fees even though the customer had already had numurous refunds and a note on the account stating DO NOT REFUND FEES. Even worse she stated in the notes that she refunded the fees after turoting the customer NOT to write checks before making a deposit. !!!!! This is a fully grown woman with an adult daughter(I know, the daughter made the deposit and the woman had the daughter on the phone) How the bloody hell could she not know that little basic simple fact of, you're not supposed to write checks when there's no money in your account. And if you do, don't blame the bank for any fees you get hit with. ARGH!!!!!!
