Houston Pride Parade
Jun. 25th, 2006 12:24 amWell they asked us to meet up at the float at 7pm. I don't know why as the parade didn't start until 8:45 and we didn't start moving until 9:30. Anyway got there, signed a waiver and started chugging water. Too damn hot. I swear I must have lost 5 pounds from all the sweat. Walked around taking pictures of some of the other floats and scantily clad men(I'll post those laters) Talked to some of the other chase people, praised god when the ice cream man came around.
YAY we finally start moving. So we're passing out beads(told not to throw them until we pass the first block) No clue why. And then it just comes to a complete stop/ HUH WTF!!! Danced with drunk spectators while we waited and I saw a few people taking pictures. Finally started moving again and continued down the line. I'll admit it was a lot of fun just kinda dancing to the music. I found I suck at tossing beads so I would go and put them onto people.
We finally got through the parade and all started back to our cars. Which for me mean going back to where we started, so I went down the same path and actually got to see some of the parade, and got some beads as well ^__^ The bad things is are I stumbed my tow on some of the uneven sidewalk. Nearly did a faceplant, except for grabbing the person infront of me. Eww noew my once nicely pedicured toe is all nasty and bloody. And I walked by a resteraunt that was still open, since I hadn't eaten yet I walked in to get some food and found that I had lost my wallet. SHIT! Lost my cards, my id, and the 100$ dollars my grandpa gave me for christmas that I like to keep tucked away as hurricane emergency cash. Damnit damnit damnit.
So now I'm home, my cards have been canceled, found 6 bucks I had lying around and will probably go hit taco bell for dinner. Tomorrow I'm calling off work and go beg some cash from my parents for until I get my new cards.
