Just a couple thoughts on the X-men movie. To start off I liked, it certainly isn't the greatest comic movie ever made, but not the worst. I went in expecting lots of flash and geeky references to the comics and I wasn't disappointed. Kelsey Grammar as Hank McCoy worked really well IMO, I can't picture anyone else being able ot pull of "Oh my starts and garters" My biggest complain is some of my favorite mutants being just blink and you miss them cameos.

Now I know people are already talking about sequel and going back and forth that they called this The Last Stand etc. Now I'm thinking that we will see the X-men on the big screen again, however the next film with not have any connections to the current trilogy, but will be a reboot like Batman Begins. Mainly because Marvel wants to start producing it's own films rather then simply selling the rights to other companies(marvel only got 75 million out of the 1.6 billon the Spider-man franchise has earned) So with that change you get sticky copyright ramifications that just not worth messing with.

Although personally I would almost like to see X-men go to the small screen. With the X-men cast as large as it is 2 hours really isn't enough to introduce or develope any of them properly. On tv(in really good writers hands) they could juggle the different elements(life drama, political drama, and action) as well as the characters. It would be hard, but would be so freaking cool if done right. It probably will never happen simply because with the large cast and the special effects the cost would be enourmous but hey, a person can dream can't they
