Meant to write about this caller last night but got distracted. Hopefully I can relay just how batshit crazy he was.

When I first answer the phone, I gave my name and the normal opening spiel. He asked what state I was in, which while annoying is fairly common as people like to know and have something ot confirm we're in the US. SO I let him know that the call center is in Houston, TX and he then asks for my home address. This actually threw me off because as insane as customers get I've never had one ask for my home address. SO I figure maybe he's looking for the contact center address, so I I try to make sure. He keeps repeating that he wants my home address(while constantly interupting me so I can barely get a full sentence out) until with a much aggreived sigh he says "So you're refusing to answer the question FINE!"

Then I get to actually find out what his problem is. Turns out he had made an online bill payment and it went out as a paper check, and he had actually overpayed the payee and so they sent the check back to him. He wants the money back into his account(understandable) and to do that we need to place a stop payment on the check. Also the checks sent out for online bill payment are official checks, they are gauranteed funds and by placing a stop payment on them we're removing that gaurantee. Because of that actually placing the stop requires a bit of hoop jumping on the bank's part and that has to be completed before a refund is given. Typically takes a total of 3-5 business days. A previous rep had already initiated the stop-pay but the customer apparently decided that he was going to throw a shit fit over the wait.

As I tried to explain that yes it takes this long for the money to go back and this is why, he again kept interupting me with these lovely gems "Oh don't give me that, 'the process' is garbarge" "Tell me why the money can't be in my account tomorrow, we both know that it should be" "the lovely "You're refusing to answer the question, why won't you answer" And my favorite "Yeah and 'the process' told Rosa Parks that she had to sit in the back of the bus because she was black" Words just fail me at how badshit he was. He then proceeded to call me garbage and when I warned him about behaviour, language and insulting me, he said "Fine disconnect on me Asshole" And that's when I hit the release call button.

Two seconds later, I get the asshole again! "Hi it's me again, you disconnected me. I'm the customer and you disconnected me!"

*headdesk* Later talking to my manager I find he's apparently gone through almost all of the online reps and acting the same way to wall of them, threatening to have one person fired. Can we get this guy evicted from the human race, because he clearly doesn't belong around people.
