Adventures in cookie making

So I got it into my head to make my grandma's sugar cookie recipie. Good god what was I thinking. First I started gathering the ingredients, just making sure I had everything. The first problems was when I checked my flour and found that it had turned mealy and had bugs. Ewwwww, tossed the bag and started to resign myself to being without sugar cookies. Started putting the other ingredients away when I spotted another bag of flour tucked in the back of the cabinent. I checked it and it was unopened and untainted. Yay! Cookie making can commence.

So I set the ingredients up, and got ready to cream the sugar and butter together and *click* my little hand mixer is dead. *insert long stream of curses here* Thankfully I had softened the butter in the microwave so I could mix it by hand.

Moving right along I finally got to the point of rolling it out and cutting it. Unfortunately I don't have a rolling pin *smack* for some crazy reason I thought I had one and I don't. I ended up using a roll of foil and my hands to roll everything out. And then I couldn't find my cookie cutters. That was easily fixed using an ice tea glass.

Finally the cookies were baked and I got to have one still warm from the oven. mmmmm sugar cookie, one never tasted so sweet.
