Serenity, jack-o-lanterns and more

Got to meet up with Jala and Ian today and we headed out to see Serenity at the Alamo Drafthouse. We got there a minute or so late because I missed the highway 6 exit. Stupid I-10 connstruction.

I liked the Serenity movie. Good visuals, and characters. I do want to see the series so I can understand them more. Got to speak with Blue for a few minutes before she had to head out and pack for her move.

Jala, Ian and I walked around West Oaks mall for a short time before deciding to to carve jack-o-lanterns so it was off to HEB for pumpkins. I also picked up one of those pumpkin carving kits. The tools were rather crapping and kept bending. Had the movie Kung Fu Scholar playing in the background which made absolutely no sense. It had no central plot. First it was about this guy getting into a school, then there was a love subplot, then they were pranking teachers, then there was a competition with another school. I think it's a tv show where some-one strung the episodes together minus the opening and closings. Ian was still working on his pumpkin so we put on Nightmare before Christmas. Jala and I begin working on roasting the pumpkin seeds. One tray plain, one with salt and pepper sprinkled on. The second one tasted better.

Modeled my yukata and yay for learning how to tie the freaking obi, we made plans for Astroworld and a B horror movie night.
