Oct. 6th, 2004 03:46 pmUgh, I got my car towed into the shop. That was 60$ btw, but better then what it could have been the first place I called wanted 75$ to tow me 5 miles, the company I used took me 16 to get to where I needed.
So go the car unloaded, work order placed and proceeded to head over to Katy Mills Mall to walk around and kill time. Went through once, and starting my second time around when I picked up some Christmas gifts for one of my aunts and a family friend. Two litte charm bracelets from Positively Pink I then proceeded to the AMC theater to catch Sky Captain and The World of Tomorrow. Ran in and started setting my phone to vibe only when I realized I was the only in the entire theater. ^_^
Sky Captain was awesome, the lighting the cheesy improbably science, but so much fun you don't even care. *Adds to dvd want list* I just wish Angelina Jolie's character had had a bigger role. Love her with the eyepatch and oh so hot uniform. *giggles* and the last line was wonderful. Movie ended and I continued walking until I got a call from the shop.
Diagnosis, the cables for my transmission are fucked up need replaced and no-one in Houston has them. They have to get them from Dallas, and they won't be here until tomorrow. And the cost? 390.00+tax. *sigh* It hurts but not nearly as much as it would have if I wasn't working overtime.
Called my dad to get a ride away from the mall, and contemplated chocolate as a pick me up. Dad arrived before I found good enough chocolate to have. So now I'm hanging out at my parent's place until some-one can run me home.
*blinks* And I've just noticed my shirt is loose. When I bought this shirt it was form-fitting and now it hangs a little loose. The walking and ddr is paying off.
ETA. Looks like me and my mother are the dem voting black sheep of the family. Turns out one of my aunts even has a Bush/Cheney sign in her yard and is extremely proud of it. Well at least there's one thing my mother and I can agree on. Bush doesn't belong in the White House. And can anyone tell me if Cheney's ever been held accountable to his consituents for his votes or hand in policy until this election? We weren't sure, but she believes that before being VP all his political posts were by appointment by some-one in charge.
