rant and rave

Yesterday i wanted to go do some shopping but found that my car wouldn't started. When I turned the key all I got was a ckicking noise. Talked to my brother on icq and he figured I either needed a jump or a new starter. Problem was there was no-one around to give my a jump. So today I walked to work(and honestly if I felt safe walking at night I would do that everyday, it's a good 20 minute walk both ways) worked half a day so I could have the afternoon to deal with my car. One of the apartment ladies tried to give me a jump but it didn't work, so she had her husband come take a look and give it a try. He managed to get my car started and informed there's a lot of corosion on the battery terminals preventing it from getting charged and giving off sparks. He recommended I get some pliers and a battery terminal cleaner kit to clean it off.
So I took off to wal-mart and got the kit, as well as a lot of various steering wheel covers which were on clearance and jumper cables. Hit hobby lobby and got some more sketch books and the koh-i-nor pen cleaner. And got a yummy Chocolate brownie Frappacino as a treat.
And some goods news for me. Since the begging of June when I weighed in at the doctors at 152lbs, I've been on a sorta informal diet. Nothing super stricts just trying to be a bit more councis of what I eat and try to be a bit more active(walking the track during my breaks). Well to today I checked my weight and saw myself at 144lbs Woot! ^_^
