I am so glad I wasn't working yesterday

I was at work today and got told about an anthrax scare at the call center yesterday. A package got delivered to one of the departments with some white powder inside. SO the entire place got quarantine with no-one allowed in or out(well except for the hazardous material people coming to check it out, but they were in protective suits) The co-worker who told me the story was amused by how the supervisors handled it. They were all running around getting into little groups and talking because they were scared. Then our supervisor sidled up to her with a bowl of choclates telling her "Don't get scared or alarmed, but there may be anthrax in the building and we're quarantine. Just stay calm and on the phones" I guess the chocolate was supposed to calm her at the news she may possibly contract a deadly disease. Turned out to be a false alarm thankfully, but still I don't think the supervisors handled the situation well, at least when it came to informing the rest of the employees
